Acceptable Use, Reviews & Community Policy.

What is not allowed on Jhatpat, how reviews work, and how we moderate.

Yurix Ventures Private Limited · CIN U62090UP2025PTC215977 · Version 1.0 · Effective 16 September 2026

The short version

Jhatpat is for genuine local-service bookings between people who treat each other with respect. No harassment, fraud, off-platform deals, fake reviews or prohibited items. Reviews must come from a real booking and describe the service, not attack the person. We remove what breaks these rules and suspend repeat offenders.

One of the ten Jhatpat policies that form part of the Terms of Service. The same text is shown inside the app (Account → Legal & policies) and on our Google Play listing.

1. Scope

This policy applies to everyone who uses Jhatpat — customers, partners and visitors — and to everything they post or do through the Platform: bookings, chat, calls, reviews, photos, voice notes and documents. It forms part of the Terms of Service and the Service Partner Terms.

2. Prohibited use

You may not use Jhatpat to:

  • book, offer or perform anything unlawful, or ask a partner to break the law, a safety rule, a licence condition or a society rule;
  • harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, sexually harass, discriminate against or abuse any customer, partner or staff member, in person or in the app;
  • defraud anyone — false bookings, fabricated complaints, manipulated photos, chargeback abuse, promotion or referral abuse, multiple accounts or impersonation;
  • deal off-platform — pay or accept payment outside the app, exchange numbers to bypass masked calling, or solicit a customer or partner for work outside Jhatpat;
  • send or request prohibited items (weapons, explosives, hazardous chemicals, drugs, stolen goods, cash and high-value valuables, live animals, medicines without a prescription, or anything the app marks as restricted);
  • misuse anyone's personal data — save, share or publish a customer's or partner's details, photograph a person or home without consent, or upload another person's ID, health record, child's image or private conversation without authority;
  • interfere with the Platform — scrape, reverse-engineer, probe, overload, automate, or access another person's account;
  • infringe intellectual property, or use the Jhatpat name and logo without permission.

3. Reviews and ratings

A review may be left only for a completed booking, by the customer who booked it, within 14 days. It must describe your genuine experience of the service; it may be critical, but it may not attack a person's religion, caste, gender, region, language, disability or appearance, contain threats, obscenity or hate speech, disclose anyone's phone number, address or documents, or make allegations of crime — report those to us under section 6 instead, so they are investigated rather than published. Partners rate customers on the same rules. Reviews written for payment, by the partner's own contacts, or under pressure are removed and the accounts involved are suspended. We do not edit reviews, but we may hide or remove those that break this policy or the law, and we show a review's date and whether the booking was verified.

4. Photos, voice notes and other content

Upload only what the booking needs and only what you have the right to share. You keep ownership of your content and give Yurix Ventures Private Limited the licence described in section 12 of the Terms of Service to host and display it for running, improving and promoting Jhatpat. Job photos taken by partners are proof of work and are shown to the customer and used to resolve disputes; they must not include people or areas of the home unrelated to the job.

5. Moderation and consequences

We review reports, use automated checks for spam, duplicate accounts and abusive language, and act in proportion to the breach: a warning, removal of content, a rating adjustment, withholding of a refund or payout obtained by fraud, suspension of a skill or an account, or permanent removal. Serious safety matters lead to immediate suspension and, where warranted, a police report. We may preserve and disclose content and records where the law requires. You may ask the Grievance Officer to review a moderation decision within 7 days; we respond within 15 days.

6. Reporting

Report a review, message, photo or behaviour from the item itself (⋯ → Report) or from the booking (Help → Report a safety issue), or write to jhatpat@gmail.com / +91 87569 92565. Reports are acknowledged within 24 hours. Rights holders may report infringement to the same address with details of the work and the infringing content.
